Communications from City of Wheat Ridge. If you normally travel from East on 38th through Wadsworth on Sundays, please plan ahead between 3/11 and 4/1 for detour.
Major construction activity is planned at the Wadsworth Boulevard/38th Avenue intersection. Starting at 5 a.m. on Monday, March 11, direct access to and from 38th Avenue east of Wadsworth Boulevard will be closed for three weeks through Monday, April 1. Since construction activities are highly dependent on weather conditions this time of year, this schedule is subject to change.
38th Avenue will be closed to all traffic between Wadsworth Boulevard and Vance Street. The signed detour route for 38th Avenue east of Wadsworth is 44th Avenue to either Pierce Street or Harlan Street. 38th Avenue business access and all side streets will remain open from the east side of the closure at Vance Street.
Wadsworth and 38th Avenue west of Wadsworth will remain open during the partial intersection closure. All eastbound 38th Avenue traffic approaching the intersection must turn north (left) or south (right) at the Wadsworth traffic signal.
During the intersection work, progress updates will be posted at https://whatsupwheatridge.com/improve-wadsworth. Any schedule changes will be posted on message boards approaching the work area. Questions or concerns? Hotline 303-390-0878 or email WadsworthProject@ci.wheatridge.co.us
